want some more privacy

Space is at a premium nowadays and so it can be incredibly difficult to get some time to yourself and to get some real privacy. Homes are built on top of each other and so it is likely that your neighbours are only metres away to the left and to the ride of you and the house across the street is too close for comfort.

When you look out of your window, it’s likely that you can see right into your neighbour’s home and so it seems logical that they will be able to see into yours. People don’t do this deliberately and it’s just a consequence of living in an area where houses are really close together. It doesn’t take away from the fact that you want some much needed privacy to enjoy time with your family or to just be by yourself.

It can have a detrimental effect on your mental health when you are unable to find some privacy for yourself and so you need to start thinking outside the box a little to come up with ways to get yourself a little bit more ‘me time.’ There are a number of things that you can put into place to help guarantee yourself some extra privacy and the following are just some of those.

1. Install roller blinds – You can find professional suppliers of quality roller blinds in Sydney and these other things that can provide you with some real privacy. They come with a very easy mechanism that allows you to pull them down and to roll them up in only a few seconds. They can be fitted to your window frames or door frames so tightly that there is very little room for light to get in, which is better than installing iron windows and doors. This means that no one will be able to see inside your property when you don’t want them to and when you want to let a little bit of sunshine and light into your property, then you just roll them back up again.

2. Build a fence – If you want to ensure that neighbours and their pets are not encroaching into your garden then it makes perfect sense to install a fence around your garden. It takes away all of the ambiguity of work. They are property line ends and use begins and it also helps to keep out unwelcome guests and intruders.

3. Trees & shrubs – These can be an excellent and very inexpensive way to get yourself some privacy from prying eyes. You can put them in your garden in front of your Windows and doors so that neighbours do not have a clear line of sight into your property.

These are just three excellent ideas and there are numerous more about how you can get some much needed privacy into your life. They are all incredibly affordable to put into place and if you really make the effort, these types of things could be installed in your home by the end of the week.
